I don't know, for some reason I want it to be grounded in reality to some degree. I saw a poll on imdb yesterday asking whether people preferred X-Files or Lost, and that sort of disappointed me because I don't want it to start turning into a Twilight Zone thing where the explanations for things that happen are terribly outlandish.
Maybe I'll change my mind about that, though. I am glad to have finally seen the "monster." I hated it when it was conveniently only seen by Locke, who kept his mouth shut. Charlie was chased by it in the first episode and said that it was huge and right behind him, but had nothing else to say about it. It was lame.

It's cool, however, I watched that last episode with Brooke .... ... and even though I "kinda keep up with it", no one told her the dialog of the last conversation
When our DVR cut off, she was sitting, after the 3rd "trade off" ...
Brooke and other FANS, glad you joined the FAN thread.
Brooke, interesting thoughts about who was in the car Kate wrecked. Could it have been the woman Jack "fixed" and then married? She was hurt in a car wreck.
I am not pissed off at anyone by the way. If you do not like the show that is your perogative. This is a FAN thread, that's all.
"Brooke" wrote ... I'm disappointed. I come back here thinking I can talk about Lost, a show I really enjoy, and instead there is a fight.
There is nothing wrong with saying you don't like something. I don't think it's cool to rip on people that like it though.
Hayley, how many episodes did you watch of Lost? I know that if I'd watched just one or two of certain episodes, I might not of liked it. I just happened to see a really good episode the first time I watched it. I honestly don't think people who just randomly watched one episode could truly appreciate it, because its one of those shows you have to see every episode in order to understand whats going on. There are a lot of characters, and a lot of storylines and you only get a small piece of the puzzle every show.
In my opinion, the acting is great. The characters come from all over the world, which you can't really say for many other shows. It's a great show for many reasons.
Oh and Seskel, why would it bother you if some of the explanations behind some of the island mysteries were supernatural?
Oh, Does anyone understand the "alarm" that presents itself in the form of an invisible monster? I mean, what kind of security alarm is that?
At what point did I say I watched "certain episodes"?
I watched it from the begining Brooke. I "was" Looking forward to it, there where adverts for it everywhere. It "looked" great.
I heard somewhere that the car accident that killed Shannon's father was the same one that crushed Jack's wife's spine, but that screws up the timeline.
I forgot about him being killed in a car wreck too. I guess it will come out eventually. I think it will be connected.
How do you think Locke was able to get out of that wheelchair after the crash? Do you think he was faking the injury? I was not aware that the box company was bought by the guy that won the lottery.
I remember Mr. Echo being on the plane now. I forgot about him bringing bodies out of the ocean to shore.
Locke wasn't faking his injury. Something happened when the plane crashed and he could suddenly walk again. He being a spiritual person thinks the island gave him the gift to walk. That is a possibility because at one point the island was supposedly trying to take it away from him if he didn't find the plane he'd seen in his dreams.
Here is another thing I was wondering. Is it not possible that some of the people that have died on the Island, like Shannon and her brother, might not really be dead. I remember a dream Shannon's brother had about her dying and it wasn't real, but it seemed real to him as if it had happened. Couldn't that be the same for their deaths too. If there is something supernatural happening, it is possible that they didn't really die and it was just a vision that the island produced. The "others" could have taken them hostage as well.
Grr, I just got to see bits and pieces of the episode tonight. What happened with Charlie and the baby? We kept skipping from Lost to the Illini game so I missed the part before he had the baby and then got his shit knocked up....
Charlie took the baby while everyone was putting out a fire he started to divert attention. He was obsessed with "saving the baby". He thought he was going to baptise the baby. He was sure Mr. Echo said he needed to baptise the baby. Then they all came running and he got punched out by Locke.
Locke found the herion stash and for some reason put it in the bunker with all the guns. It showed him fiddleing with the lock mechanism. He has rigged it somehow.

I think he put the heroin there so he could test Charlie by telling him to go get something out og hte bunker, to see if he takes one of the statues or not.
