When I was walking down the sidewalk of the star walk of fame in california, there was this one guy that ran out of a store and stole a broomstick from an independent shop. The manager and the other employee ran after him down the street, but more people went in the shop and stole more shit. I don't know why I said that but meh..its my current thought!

Yeah, it's a common diversion ...

Yo Thrash....FYI..Kara Winn and Angus Wallen are still sitting in pre-trail detention. They have not gone to trail yet... Many charges are against them both. 2 counts Murder, 2 counts Arson, 2counts Grand theft Auto, and an armed Robbery charge. The latest rumor is State's attorney want Kara to testify against Angus, where she would receive 25 yrs to life, however she does not want to do this and rather face a life sentance. Doesn't Make alot of sense to me, but I would rather see her rot to hell. knowing what I know of Kara she is one wacked bitch.....personally I would like to see her get the injection. If she was to get out in 25 yrs. I would hunt her ass down and give her pay backs for all she has put people though. Believe me she is a mennace to socitiy. I know more than I should and would like to share but best if I stay on the side line. I would not want to end up testifying against her.

I do know that the evidence is overpowering in the case against them both. Hopefully Florida law will prevail.

Yo Thrash, you lucky dude. you happened apon a wacked witch. There was another incident after your meeting with Kara and Angus...During their travels in Biloxi,Angus was stealing yet another car, which lead to a hot persuit and him resisting arrest. The carzy Kara then phoned her mother to get Bail money for "Gus". At which time her mother set her up for the arrest...WAY TO GO MOM. They are still sitting in Pre-trial detention, awaiting trial..Taking much tooo long. More pre-hearings as the evidence is stacked against them both. Her Attorney is trying to plea bargian for her to testify against "Gus" giving her 25-life..Instead she is goning to protect him and go down for the full fall. Facing 2 counts arson, 2 counts Murder, Grand theft auto and Armed Robbery. Her mother was also the one that turned her in to DCF to have grandson taken for her as well. I am hoping they both get what they deserve. the young man they murdered and set ablaze. Note...they set him ablaze and not the apartment. Was a very upstanding young Collage student that had found it in his heart to take them into his own apartment to give them a place to live. And that was the gratitude they Gave Brandon in return. yes she is a sight for sore eyes, but many are thankful her son has his daddy's gene's and is a very adoreable little lad.

Wait, I just read in "The Victim's Advocate" (available at Wal-Mart) that she's on the "Jacksonville's Most Wanted" list ...

Is she back at large?

Seek Justice: I am so sorry about Brandon. I hope all of his friends and family get the justice you deserve.

I used to be very good friends with Angus (Gus) Wallen in high school and several years after. We were very different from eachother and didn't have any friends in common. I am a nurturer and thought I could help him. It took from 16 years old until 25 years old to realize that he was way beyond my help. I had to cut things completely off because his problems were having a huge negative impact on my me and my family. He was furious at my husband, blaming it on him, and saying he hoped he died.

What he and Kara did to your Brandon happened about two years after I stopped talking to him. We hadn't lived in the same county in about that same length of time. He still called every few months, but I stopped answering the phone when I told him I wanted him out of my life. He would beg my husband to put me on, declaring how rehab had worked "this time", and how he was a changed man. One of these calls came just a month before they killed Brandon.

At one point, he did have good in him. He was smart, funny and sensitive. That's why it took me so long to give up on him, but week by week I saw the good being replaced by more and more darkness.

When I learned about Brandon I was devastated by the loss I knew so many peolple were experiencing. His freinds and family, Gus's parents and sister (at this point I don't think he had any friends left). I felt like I should have done more to get Gus help, so that he wouldn't have become so consumed with whatever craziness he was consumed by. I thought maybe if I wouldn't have cut him off he would have been strong enough to get help.

In time I accepted that if I wouldn't have cut him off, it could have been me or my family in danger. The last time we were together he took my keys and blocked the door so I couldn't leave. It was the first time he ever scared me. I tried to help in every way I knew how. In high school I went to the guidance counselors about him weekly. As adults I researched rehabs for him, checked up on him, encouraged him during his brief clean periods. I feel like I enabled him for so many years. I told him everything was okay when it wasn't. I was there holding his hand when he needed to be punched. I stiill wish I could have prevnted him from becoming the person that killed someone you love.

I don't live in your area, so if you could update me on the case I would greatly appreciate it.

Lamplight: We didn't forget about you (friend of seek justice). The trial ended yesterday and it was sweet justice. They both received first degree murder charges and the sentencing hearing will be August 11th. Of course, for the most part it's a formality. The 2 defendants waived the 12 man jury in exchange for removal of the death penalty so it's mandatory life w/o the possibility of parole. That's not taking into account the charges of arson and robbery which will add roughly 50 years + to their sentence.

The trial lasted 4 days and on the forth day there was a surprise! Kara decided to take the stand in attempts to clear her "good name". It was the most outrageous testimony ever, I'm certain. She did admit to shooting Brandon first, something we already knew. But she had the nerve to say that she was brainwashed and manipulated by Gus. Yeah right, she tried to convince the jury that she is a passive, meek person and she would have never shot Brandon had Gus not "pushed" her to do it. She was obviously cooperative and spoke in a soft voice when questioned by her attorney but the minute the prosecution cross-examined her it was over. She started getting loud and used her "alcoholism" to excuse why she couldn't remember details of the crimes that she committed.

His trial had wrapped up the day before hers (Thursday, 7/13) and it took roughly 20 minutes for the jury to deliberate. Her jury took a little longer but not by much. There were approximately 150 items admitted into evidence by the state. The state also had Kara's mother testify, as well as Angus's father. The only emotion Kara displayed during the trial was when personal witnesses took the stand and testified against her. Neither of them showed any remorse and they didn't flinch when the verdicts were read.

It was an emotional week but we feel good about the outcome. It couldn't have been any better. I'm just glad that these two animals are behind bars where they belong. If you want any additional information about the trial you can log on to jacksonville.com and type in Brandon Christopher Murphy in the search field and it's the article written on 7/15. Anyone who's reading, please heed this next sentence. Hug your friends and family every day because you never know where these kind of people lurk.

My Cousin Is angus wallen. my guestion to the guy who posted this forum is: When you spoke to Gus did he seem to be under control and compliant, or full of rage and ready to tear someone up. He's had a drug problem and has gone to jail several times in the last five years. His most commonly ingested syrup was TUSSIN.

He was stealing Tussin, yes ....
He ran, and took out the manager at the time ...
Kara tried to run my partner and myself down with the stolen car as we chased him ...

Once they realized I was going to arrest them they calmed down ...

The reason I didn't get credit for the arrest is because of the manager not wanting more of a scene caused ...

Personally, I'd rather have arrested them, and not for credit, but because I'd have taken TWO MURDERERS OFF THE STREETS ...

To directly answer:
He got lucky, and he knew it; thus, he was "compliant" and told me of his addictions; before that they were out of control, she even cut my arm ...

However, when I'm contracted to stores, unless they tell me I have say otherwise, I have to do whatever they request ...

... For the record, I told him I wanted to call it in and have 'em checked out, I KNEW something was up!
... I'm not from Mayberry, you know

I had a parent try to tackle me once trying to get into the sample closet at work. We had to call security because he was beyond what we could control ourselves. Being in pediatrics, I work with mostly women so it's hard to hold back a hopped up addict. I actually had to call out sick the next day because I felt like I was hit by a truck.

Damn junkies.
