[sarcasm]Yeah, because addiction is totally a choice to be made by the individual.[/sarcasm]
Or wait, was that one of your 2 lies?
LIE: I know for a fact that 3 people on this board are addicted to crack and one of them isn't me. TRUTH: So you are wrong. LIE: Anyone can be addicted to anything, if they choose to be.

So yeah, I'm going with #2 there as your truth.
PEOPLE do choose to be addicted to anything they want...
For example, Smoking... The person that DECIDED to pick up the fag in the first place, Choose to smoke it. They then in most cases become addicted.
Another Example, heroine. The person that DECIDED to inject it, has choose to be addicted to it.
In both cases no one forces them to do it, so yes, ANYONE can be addicted to anything, if they choose to be, sex, chocolate, or caffine.

What do you mean? You think I'm on crack. Well then you are very wrong.
That comment however, was a joke. Are you on your period? because you are getting more sensitive as the days go by.
Aaron, Why try to make an argument with EVERYTHING I post. Dont start stalking my posts with obnoxious replys trying to get one up on me.
It only makes you look like a twat.
Now carry on with the game.
Heres 3 more.
1)I like eating raw onion. 2)I like eating raw cabbage. 3)I like eating raw garlic.

Oh stop, Hayley. Come on. I wasn't attacking you so please don't be so defensive. I realize that comment was a joke and I was just calling you on it as I didn't believe you knew three people on this board were crack addicts. Again, you take something I say and reply with a silly personal attack. I don't make an argument with EVERYTHING you say. I just didn't particularly agree with your idea of addiction. I respond to one of your posts where you make such a lofty statement and all of a sudden I'm stalking your posts? I was responding to a statement that I felt was bullshit. I'm sorry if you don't like it when someone questions what you say but that's life and it's not always a personal thing.
But yeah, back to the game.

I'm going to go with 1... mostly because I can't fathom anyone eating raw cabbage or garlic.
I don't mind people Not agreeing with me... It makes life very intresting.
I have my opinion and I just voiced it..
You however haven't... what makes YOU think that people don't choose to get addicted?
''mummy they made me do it!!'' Is not the correct answer!
I AM addicted to salt, I even have it on my toast.. and lots of other things too...but then again, I'm the one that decides If I will die of a heart attack or not, by eating too much of it... and I do..
People choose to take their first drag, their frist drink, their first "push". They aren't consciously making a decesion to become addicted. Addiction is a psychological and somtimes physiological dependency of something. It's a byproduct of that original choice. No one chooses to become addicted even when they are conscience of the risk. When a herion user slams that needle home for the first time, they have one thing on their mind, the HIGH. They're not thinking far enough ahead to consider addiction. It's the last thing on their mind at that time. Same goes for alcohol. When I drink a beer or whatever, I'm not thinking "gee! I'm making a decesion this very moment to become addicted to alcohol." No, I'm more interested in relaxing and letting the alcohol do its work. So that's my theory at least on addiction not technically being a choice but rather a sideeffect of a choice.
"liddlecutehayley" wrote ... Number 1 is wrong by the way.
Damn! Well I hope you eat raw cabbage then... unless you live in a vampire infested neighborhood, then the garlic might be a good choice.
"suzette" wrote ... I think you just ENJOY the taste of salt. ....if you were to put it down ....it would'nt cause you to miss work from withdrawls.
..and...how do you know that? I could do, I could hide it in my bag at work and everynow and again, go up stairs and shove a load in my mouth...Addiction.
Thats like saying...I ENJOY smoking, I ENJOY injecting crack...I ENJOY smoking dope...I ENJOY chocolate...
