Well, there's the CIA - Venutian Co-operative Mind Control Tower if you're into that sort of thing. I'd tell you exactly where it is but I really don't want another visit from the you-know-who's. You'll know it when you see it because the mind control psionic field will influence you to forget it every time it enters your field of vision. Just don't forget to notice the tower you can't remember and you'll know then that you're within the 32 micro-parsec transmitting range and then using simple triangulation you can narrow it down from there.
The atlantians also had this technology and it is rumored that it is still active which is why nobody can find it even though it's been right there all along, but triangulation is more difficult in the ocean because the waves are always changing your position and in turn creating an interference pattern canceling and reinforcing the the psionics in an alternating pattern (as interference patterns usually are, but everyone knows that).
I'm flying into Chicago on the 17th but the destination is actually Urbana-Champaign so I'll be renting a truck to pick up a load of equipment there then driving back to Ca. I won't be in the area very long but the schedule is flexible so if there were some really great thing to see it might be doable.
Also if there is anything special between there and Ca, that anyone knows about, the exact route hasn't been mapped out so detours to points of interest on the way back might be possible.
There are no real deadlines or pressure, except the cost of gas but that's being covered so it should be a fairly laid back interesting trip regardless.

Well, I'll at least take in the Observation deck at the Hancock building and Lake Shore Drive, I would like to visit the Science and industry Museum but I might not be in Chicago proper long enough for that. I'm supposed to be starting back to Ca. on the 19th so I'm really looking for ways to plan my return route that will allow for checking out some attractions between there and here along the way. Any ideas?
