I prefer being on call... I go on call once every 6 weeks for a week, I only log on if I need to, I get paid double time for any time I get called out for and a standby allowance, I can go back to sleep when I'm done... and I can go in late if I'm called during overnight on business days. I get to be logged on to the companys systems wearing only my underpants...
Its not perfect, but its far superior to my last job. I dont have the stress that I had in my last job, and my body feels much better. I dont really mind being called out either. I get to show off my madskillz to the meatheads that used to work for me. Meathead is the official term for Computer Operator.
