I went for my G test 3 weeks ago for the second time (for those non canadians, its the last driving class) and managed to pass due to a really easy going instructor. The first G test attempt was with some half ragged she bitch from the planet fail. I was confident up to the point when the general vehicle inspection was done, but when she got into the car, sitting down like she was trying to assault my passenger seat, and proceeded to tell me not to talk to her as she isnt paid for conversation. Really bad attitude, made for some really thick nervousness on my part, I figured she'd probably had a near death experience that day or something. Anyways, i tried to keep my cool, and did for the most part until the on-ramp to the highway was in view. I continued on, signalling, checking my blind spots, and not realizing the yield sign on the island seperating the other merging lane to the on ramp. Long story short, i almost got creamed by a pick up, making the instructor pop a tampon. So i knew i failed, and instead of dropping her off in the middle of nowhere, i sucked it up and continued the test.
The second time was a breeze, the instructor told me to go with traffic, exceed the speed limit if i deemed it safe, and basically finished marking the test before i even finished it. Afterwards I bought him a coffee and brought it back to the exam center.
