I know my first bad break up still sticks with me... just gotta tuck it away in the back of your mind and learn the warning signs to avoid the same mistakes.

I can say pretty confidently I didn't make any mistakes.

You dated (trusted and possibly fell in love with?) the wrong person... simple, honest mistake that happens to all of us at some point. Nothing to be ashamed of.

I did fall in love with her. But I didn't do anything I'd do differently.

I don't think falling in love with the wrong person is a mistake.

I think it is amazing that you fall in love anyways, it reaffirms that you are capable of such an emotion. And so few can truly ever even say that they've genuinely feel that.

I've honestly loved a few guys I've been with, but I've only ever truly been "in love" with one, if you want to talk semantics.

Still the fact that you've been able to experience it one time, is amazing. It's truly a gift. There are way more people who cannot claim to truly know being IN love is any different than just loving. It's truly a gift.

it took me 9 years to realize just how much I love the guy. I always knew I did, but it took that long to realize the magnitude of it. Craziness.

I'll fix it. I just have to get everything else in order first, healthwise.

I saw her today for the first time since July 7th. I'm going to miss her like I can't believe.

*hugs* it's like that at first. But trust me, it'll calm down and then eventually you'll notice that you've not even thought of her in a few days, and it'll surprise you and you might even get a little angry with yourself for not having thought of her. But it does get easier over time.

As of today she's "single" on myspace. Every little bit hurts. (BTW every addition I make to this thread will most likely be some insufferably boring little triviality like this one, so you might not want to even bother reading any more. But it's sort of cathartic for me.)

on the contrary. I think we're all at least a little involved in this.

I think this a pretty accurate synopsis of things. Well said.

Thrash once gave me some advice after a breakup. he told me to 'fuck a slut for every other month i was with her' or something like that.

i suggest you do the same. it'll get better over time.
