I know my first bad break up still sticks with me... just gotta tuck it away in the back of your mind and learn the warning signs to avoid the same mistakes.
You dated (trusted and possibly fell in love with?) the wrong person... simple, honest mistake that happens to all of us at some point. Nothing to be ashamed of.
I think it is amazing that you fall in love anyways, it reaffirms that you are capable of such an emotion. And so few can truly ever even say that they've genuinely feel that.
Still the fact that you've been able to experience it one time, is amazing. It's truly a gift. There are way more people who cannot claim to truly know being IN love is any different than just loving. It's truly a gift.
*hugs* it's like that at first. But trust me, it'll calm down and then eventually you'll notice that you've not even thought of her in a few days, and it'll surprise you and you might even get a little angry with yourself for not having thought of her. But it does get easier over time.
As of today she's "single" on myspace. Every little bit hurts. (BTW every addition I make to this thread will most likely be some insufferably boring little triviality like this one, so you might not want to even bother reading any more. But it's sort of cathartic for me.)

on the contrary. I think we're all at least a little involved in this.

I think this a pretty accurate synopsis of things. Well said.
