I read all of it, although you will ever deny it Dave is capable of error. I have been involved with the administration of this board from its inception and never have I seen Jenn, or anybody up till now, as mod of that particular forum.
I am also aware that Rach said she was willing to take it.
Bottom line is I do what's most practical my giving the forum to the person who is most suited for it, not just to be nice or to buy someone off.
You may have noticed by the title change I have made that said forum is now a theological and philosophical debate forum (more in keeping with free speech than a bashing forum ever was), ergo I have given the forum to someone who has proven themself capable of maintaining such a nature of discussions.
You'll no doubt think otherwise, but practicality and expediency motivate my decisions, and the board benefits from it, as Dave agrees

I made TWO posts explaining my reasons for the selection of the mod for this forum, and now for your benifit I will post them again.

Above is the reasoning behind the decision for the choice of mod for said forum, all you have said is that it is "bang out of order", you gave no reasons, you contested no specific agenda, and you accused me of ignorance. How am I doing "whatever the hell" I want when I am presenting coherent and logical reasoning for my choices?

This I suspect to be a childish jab at me, and I'd hoped you were above such things. I won't delve into your habit of always co-signing those you look up to, whatever the argument. Instead I'll just say that it would be nice if you'd display the maturity of thought that I know you to be capable of and if you have a contention with a decision or issue please present an informed and valid argument against it as opposed to insults. Overall the board will benefit from this. This topic had no reason to become contested.
POINT OF ORDER: Dave... you were HALF right... Jenn *WAS* a moderator..... HOWEVER, it was on the DYNU board... NOT on here as of yet... If Jenn would like to moderate something, I'll take that into consideration, and choose something to her special brand of posting abilities...
Pat, I agreee... Brooke does display a well pronounced ability to debate (this is *NOT* a dig at you, Brooke) and think she would make a good mod there... Her and myself have had quite a few 'discussions' and I know she's not afraid to speak her mind... Brooke, Welcome to the moderator position of a non-user forum (that doesn't sound right... but you know what I mean)...
Hayley, don't be so hasty to jump on people with insults.. and if you're going to do that, please move it to the flaming forum... Both of you had some points, and both of them are valid (yes, I've read the whole thing)...
Everyone: The areas outside the flaming area are not meant for any debates where things can become heated and hostile... Please remember this... However, that's not to say that we here (the admins) don't enjoy a good roasting from time to time.... But that's different.... Usually both parties know it's just for shits and giggles, and accept that by coming here and signing on, you're guilty of something worthy of being picked on and ridiculed (why does that look like I spelled it wrong.....)

You are both right. I thought I'd transfered right of MOD to Jen on this board; I was wrong.
Either way, the comments are all valid, as are the opinions (in part) .... I WAS in error.
Remember, I have a LOT of sites I'm in charge of, old and new. I can't remember everything.
My staff is my staff for a reason; some is partially due to "favoring". ... This is explained as those I KNOW PERSONALLY and I KNOW have an interest in said discussions.
If you look at the RULES AND GUIDELINES you'll see it's open to ALL that display talent and drive to do so. We're still new, so I've no choice but to default to whom I know CAN AND WILL do a good job and help us to be a flowing, relevant presence on the net.
That said, I'm ALSO entitled to make mistakes. JEN, if you want to co-mod in that forum, it's open to you.
I'm sorry my mistake caused this malcontent. Again, we're stronger than that and we'll work around this and come out that much better in the long run.
DAN, PAT, KEVIN (Noctem), and myself are ADMINS .... We base our decisions on what we ALL think, and if we want to make a drastic change we ASK THE OTHERS and, if available, our MODS. This is NOT a Totalitarian state; we WELCOME user and staff input. We all learn as we go along, and act accordingly.
If one is not around to ask we hold off, or, if we REALLY FEEL STRONGLY, we make the change and see how it flies.
For all other issues we put it up to VOTING by ALL USERS.
If you feel you need something said, SAY IT, we listen.
I've always said, from running the first TOTALLY FREE SPEECH AND FREEDOM (as well as THE most popular and heavily trafficed) BOARD IN 860 (and 203 in the earlier dayz): .... "Freedom carries a price; you must still listen to and respect those around you while you are exercising your freedom(s)."
We, people, are A COMMUNITY, and as such, we must ALL have a say; and TSi will NEVER change in that regard. EVERYONE can, AND WILL, have a say in how this site's run, ALWAYS, however, sometimes decisions must be made at critical or specific times, and they will be made, but they can be challenged. I never want a user to feel they can't voice an opinion or an opinion on a change. We can and will accomodate all as best as we can, and as fair as we can at all times; it's the TSi motto.
Just know, we CANNOT, and thus, WILL NOT please everyone at all times; but we'll do the BEST THAT WE CAN FOR ALL!
You have our personal word of honor as owners, admins, and mod of this time-honored and time-proven establishment.

The only problem is the one you believe me to have with you, and nothing I say will shift your opinion no matter how often I've supported and looked out for you before. The simple fact is that you disagreed with a decision I made and despite the clear logic behind it you decided to take it as a personal slight against you.
That last sentence of yours could have eliminated the need for any contention over this subject, be sure to quick reference it.
As for this supposed problem the lack of affirmaion on my part coupled with the lack of corrobarating evidence to it's existence leads me to the conclusion, as it should you, that said problem is nonexistant
Thanks for the offer Dave and Dan, but I think I will pass. One reason being that I don't want to further any arguments (whether they might be rekindled or just freshly started). Another being that I don't feel I'd contribute much. I haven't posted much around here, and I didn't that much over at dynu. I don't feel that I know everyone here that well, and I'd rather just sit back rather than modding something/someone that I didn't understand
