Here is my suggestion for this ~ (and it could be wrong, I dunno)
I would go to a local electronics dealer, not a mall store or some retailer like best buy. Local guys seem to have more geek knowledge and will take the time to help you, much moreso that some slunk teenager at Best Buy. Bring a cd or two you like, and have at it
Speakers are the sound/outputs... if you are buying some, and looking for a good price/deal, it always pays to be satisfied as much as possible with the sound. I'd also look for closeouts and scratch n' dent items, unless your interested in aesthetics

I got my dvd player! It was 249 originally at kaufmans but my brotther got an empolyee discount 10% extra dicount and 25% discount off of it because he used his credit card so oit only came to 120! its uber sweet! I love it!
