I have been going through the HUGE collection of CD's I have burned In the past 10+ years and noticed a unique phenomena. Some CD's from a decade ago are hunky dory - others have those 'holes' in them (due to fungus and oxidation it turns out...) , but what really got me is disks that where burned within the past 2 years, same shit! What I don't understand is all have been kept in the same storage condition, some of same brands... what makes this happen?
What happened to that 100+year thing we where promised when these things came out? I have cassette tapes from the 80's and Vinyl from the 60's and 70's that play as good as the day they where made.
