i am so scared that she will die.
her aunt passed away a month ago from an aneursym, and so my mom had an MRI to see if she had one. she doesn't, but they did find a tumor, 3 inches behind her left eye, about 3 inches in the side of her head. it's about 1 inch in diameter.

she meets with the neurosurgeon tuesday.

omg i am worried.

thank you suzie, i lit one too.

well, the verdict is in.

It's an Olfactory Groove Meninginoma.

she will have surgery that involves cutting her skull from ear to ear, up around her forehead, so that the scar won't be so noticeable.

this tumor is actually right between her eyes, on the inside of her skull, right up against her optic nerve.

that explains the headaches and inability to focus.

there were a lot of symptoms that we all thought were just regular aches and pains kinds of things.

hopefully it will all go well and she will be ok.

Welp, surgery is monday.. just two days away. i changed my mind about being uptight, nervous, and depressed about this.

i have decided to kick the shit out of that negative energy and turn myself around. and you know what? EVEryONE around me feels it and everyone is happier.

i am positive that everything will go exactly how it is supposed to.

for the record... the surgery went so well that my mom healed up all the way in about 3 weeks. she was even speaking clearly and walking up and down stairs in 2 weeks.

now she is angry all the time and doesn't talk to me anymore.

do you think it is because of the surgery or did an event happen to upset her towards you?

I think it's that she resents me because she adopted my kids... and adoption is for life... and I am not always doing so well mental-health wise.

She goes in for an MRI every 3 months now, since the surgery... and so far nothing has come back....
