This one's called; "Steve To The Rescue; All In A Day's Work"
Steve goes BACK to being a police officer (where he was hired from the Chicago PD for the show [PT turned FT]) in Ohio, deputized, and actually goes out (al la "COPS") and goes on routine calls with the Ohio Police (I didn't catch the name of the town) and returns/reunites an estranged/runaway daughter, and actually HELPS a lot of people.
It's a good see, for Jerry Springer ...
Most of the "Steve To The Rescue"'s I try and watch; it redeems Springer ...
Steve's a great guy, and it's good to see him out there, doing what he does best; ... being a GOOD COP
Steve even met one person with a disabled kid; he worked a day for her as a "waitress", gave her the tips, and "fund-raised" to get her a much needed van with a wheelchair lift for her. (I read later that the Jerry Springer Show kicked in the last $7k for the "deluxe model")
I enjoyed this episode and was actually impressed, it wasn't just "typical bullshit" Springer ...
Jerry's a good guy, and he even admits his show's, and I quote "... just silliness" ... I'm glad he/they "gave back", ... and I also found out Jerry now donates a fair portion of profits to charities
I have a new respect for Springer now ... However, in the long run, minus this episode, I'm still going to see his show in the same light ...
At least he's using SOME of his "clout" to TRY and help now ... ... it's about time!
