this is the only thing that I can tell you about Silent Hill
*****SPOILER***** if you don't want to know then dont continue to read this post...derr!
Silent Hill lets just say is a fucked up twisted movie! Now to understand the ending of the movie you need to realize that the survivors (that we think are the survivors).... are not really survivors at all! They are actually, already dead! Rose and Sharon died in the the car accident that sent them to Silent Hill in the first place! Thats why Chris doesnt see them at the end becasue they are ghosts. So you see Rose and Sharon CAN escape the depths of hell... but can not escape Silent Hill in general because they are still dead.

Ok, then why are they still in this "purgatory"? I thought Rose was the "innocent one" that allowed the "evil Sharon" into the "place of sanctuary"?
Why does that earn her a trip to "purgatory"? This means that her reward of freeing the angst of Sharon/Whatever the fuck her name was, was ... ... nothing

yup pretty much. It makes no sense. I never did care for that story plot. The game and the movie is somewhat similar...minus the fact it was a guy searching for her. Now if they make silent Hill 2 the movie. I would enjoy that, because that story in the game was fucking awesome!
