Damn that Kevin Costner with his shitty acting and yet the ability to make, write, and star in such great films. This was by far in my opinion one of the greatest roles for Mr. Costner. The dry delivery of every line in this film is what made it so believable. That and I have a man crush on William Hurt. Keep an ear out for the E.T. reference.
