With the primary popular vote so close, the Democratic (ha ha) National Committee will be turning to its super delegates to choose the nominee. These fuckers (party officials and elected officials within the party (state and federal congresspersons, governors, etc)) are political professionals who will wheel and deal with their weighted vote regardless of the desires of the people they are supposed to represent. They alone will determine who will be the candidate in true fuck the people back room bullshit style.
So, I guess the whole superdelegate idea really hit the Democratic party in the 80s. I guess if I had to select a moment in government history where the Democratic party lost perspective, that would be it.
