I'm not gonna waste a lot of my time here... but the Ring Two pretty much suffers from sequelitis. It's a mess with only two good scenes surrounded by a massive mound of crap.
The first movie was a great example of timing and pacing used in order to create real tension. This movie utterly fails at that. Right away, the opening scene of the movie is so bad and ineffective that there's pretty much no recovering. The movie even ends with a whimper where it should have been very tense, powerful and climatic... instead it just falls flat.
It's a horror movie short on scares that tries to make up for it with a character driven story. It fails on that level too with an underdeveloped and rushed plot.
I don't recommend this movie unless you just have to know how they expand upon the story of Samara. Even then, wait for it to come out on DVD to rent.
