Or Accident Park, as it was better known as to those in New Jersey. Here's an article I found about it I wanted to post in that thread but I'll post here instead. [Click, Dick]
I laughed at this part from this article: [Click, Dick]
wrote ... Action Park must have been designed by a Specially Assembled Council of Terrible Ideas. Part of its attraction was not knowing if you would leave the joint alive. Nearly every July, someone would drown in the wave pool or be killed in a freak go-kart accident. Action Park was less a water park and more a complete insult to the evolutionary concept of self-preservation. And yet, despite all the danger, we kids kept going back, tempting fate like Russian-roulette-players.
Man, I loved the cliff jumps and the colorado river thing. The Aqua scoot was just plain terrifying and surf hill ruled!
I never went on the Tarzan swing because of the long lines and because I was warned about how frigid the water was. I also never went on the alpine slide probably because I never found it. You had to like, discover the rides at that place.
