this makes me mad for so many reasons. this guy's life is fucked up now. both of his children are special needs but luckily he's got his wife and good family and community support, and this all happened for a handful of $$$

That's pathetic. All for $300. Shit, if they were that desperate they could have borrowed that money, or got a job and earned it. OR got a parttime gig babysitting or washing windows or something and made it that way.
