It's not often that I'm baffled at why some movies I may enjoy get bad reviews. I can usually see where those people are coming from with their criticism even thought I disagree with them.
But, what the fuck is up with The Happening? It has been universally panned by critics and viewers, and after multiple viewings and really pondering about it I still don't fucking understand why people think it sucks so much. I personally found it to be a very entertaining and decent flick. While not TEH BEST MOVIE EVAR, I think it's WAY better than most people say it is. Comments?

Which is mildly more believable than the premise that aliens would invade this planet with no protective clothing, despite the fact that plain ol' water to them is as dangerous as sulfuric acid is to us. Riiiiight.
Exactly. Are you going to tell me that some advanced alien creatures don't have enough common sense to protect themselves from the highly poisionous shit that's covering 75% of the planet they're invading?
And what about the humidity? WTF.
The Happening wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Not the greatest movie, but not the worst evar like I expected.
Here's an idea. Imagine The Sixth Sense but without the twist ending. That movie would be pretty shitty without the ZOMG BRUCE WILLIS WAS DEAD THE WHOLE TIME thing at the end.
you shouldnt give a fuck about bad reviews or ppl not liking what you like. i love some LAME movies but never gave much of a crap about most movies that get fawned over.
for instance, The Wizard of Oz is awesome BUT nobody talks about the original SILENT version, which was released i believe before 1920. I will be watching that tonight.
they give High School Musical good ratings. please.
