I just wanted to state how much I appreciate the music of Green Day before they died. And in my opinion they died when they recorded "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)". I believe that moment when I heard that song to be the death of Green Day as I knew them. As I'm listening to Kerplunk, I reminisce on the good times and realize that Green Day was really reputable for a LONG ASS TIME. On "Warning" it just seemed they were getting old, and I forgave them for that record. Them came the travesty that is American Idiot. I'm not even gonna get started on that. I'm just gonna listen to Kerplunk, Dookie, and Insomniac in peace.

Plus, you can only stay pissed off for so long when you've had all the money, drugs, pussy, and freedom you can ever ask for. After 10 years of that shit you're going to mellow out for sure.

Agreed. They were the first "punk" band I got into, a good couple years before I got into NOFX and Pennywise and other skate punk stuff. Time of your life was just awful, and I stopped caring about them at all once I heard that. I heard American Idiot on Madden one year, but that's the only song I've heard from that album. I just can't be bothered with them anymore.
