I have a hard time wrapping my head around how blatantly corrupt everything is playing out.
The top 3 examples on my mind tonight: 1. The former head of Goldman Sachs with free money to hand out however he sees fit. 2. After throwing hundreds of billions dollars into a black hole, holding up an automotive bailout over what seemed to be primarily an attempt to bust the union, based on what I heard listening to the debates on C-SPAN. 3. Gov. Blagojevich being taken down as soon as he threatens Bank of America. If he wasn't dirty (like 99% of elected officials) he probably would've been murdered instead.
On the other hand, since I've expected the fucking sham house of cards that is the American economy to fall since I was a teenager, I pretty much have a constant boner now.

I haven't been doing land surveying anymore, so I wouldn't be trying to squeeze it in before I spend an afternoon at work, either.
If the weather is right between Xmas and NY I'd like to spend a day on the AT. I'm self employed now and can go anytime I want. Let me know what you think.
