...one of those songs that amaze me. But once in an even LONGER while I hear one of those songs and I'm mostly confused and surprised because the band that played the song pretty much sucks. It's a fluke. A wonderful yet disturbing anomaly. It really doesn't happen often at all, especially lately because I usually ONLY listen to my music and am rarely exposed to other types. I can only think of two examples at the moment, if there are any more than I'll post them.
Incubus - The Warmth: [Click, Dick] There's just something weird and nostalgic about this song coupled with the lyrics that hit me in a strange way. I couldn't believe this song was done by the same band that sung that horrific diarrhea inducing song "Stellar" that made me want to vomit blood every time I heard it.
Fear Factory - Resurrection: [Click, Dick] My arch enemy, the American "metal" band that sounds like every other of it's kind. The kind where I cringe by saying the word metal even when it is in quotations. This is another one of those songs that has a melody that hits me in a fuzzy nostalgic sort of way.
I guess it's the same as the theory that if a million monkeys keep typing on a million typewriters than one of them is bound to shit out shakespear. So, I'm curious if this happens to anyone else.
And also, once in a while I hear one of those songs that doesn't sound like anything else and nothing will probably ever sound like it again. Oddly enough, industrial and ragtime can make an awesome fucking song: [Click, Dick]

I feel that way about Dead On Arrival by Bloodrock. The lyrics and the haunting organ used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid.
