Why the hell would a billion dollar pharmaceutical company approve a name that is pronounced' Ass-Effects' other then to make us immature fuckers giggle?
Reading it I would say Acip-hex... but their commercials say otherwise....
Speaking of pharmaceuticals, what do you guys think of the Celebrex commercials that are running these days? I think they've changed the music a bit and it's for the worse, but my god I love those ads. Apparently this is a divisive question and reactions are evenly split with viewers either loving or hating them. I'll admit I'm a lover.
Exactly music makes the commercial. That's why the Celebrex ads are so great. No lue what it does, don't really care to be honest, but I wish I were taking it. Now THAT's an effective commercial.
Also, "Let's get it started..." Ugh. Damned censorship. Admittedly the real song wouldn't make much sense in that situation, but still.
Commercials are under-appreciated. They make up a large part of the background noise of daily life and people just ignore them. They're so ever-changing that they fade of the radar in weeks, but they are completely riddled with encoded cultural meanings. I think they deserve discussion and analysis. I was constantly talking about the commercials when I had a TV. ... I wish I'd never broken it.
