I'm sitting here after my friends left and there's garbage on tv. I figure I might as well update people on what's going on with me. I no longer work in a peds emergency department. I now work in a state psych hospital, which is more than interesting. When I first left peds I went to a private acute pysch hospital that took people right off the street or out of the ER. They were fun and interesting because they weren't stabilized on meds. My favorite patient was a cop who was working on the helicopters..he one day decided to fly the chopper home and make a pot of coffee because he wanted a cup...but he was nice enough to fill the thermos on board before he fled the scene and cops found him 20 miles away. He was a nice guy though. Then I went to the state system when I needed the benefits. Those patients are crazy. Or at least know how to act crazy.
Other than the job change everything else is the same. I graduated in May so hopefully I'll have the promotion coming if Patterson gets his act in gear. I start orientation on Monday even though they don't have a job for me. I've never hear of such of a thing. But whatever.
