I'm a HUGE Pink Floyd fan. Yeah, Syd Barrett went nuts after too much acid and became a recluse at his Mom's house and died a few years ago there. David Gilmore was brought into the band after he left to play guitar. Roger Waters took Barrett's place as head of Pink Floyd. I have most of the albums.
WHAT IS HELLA SAD about the whole thing is how much roger waters and dave gillmore LOVED SYD. ......they grew up together.....gillmore was syd's friend... and was called in to learn his parts.... .......well, look at the documentary....it's tragic the whole band loved syd....and syd started pink floyd on its corse... .....and wrote the early songs.
