After 15 years of shift work, my body can take no more. I have an interview today for a job I can do standing on my head. Sideways move, but I get my weekends back, and 8 hour shifts! (you have no idea how much that means to me...) Ok, so I lose the rostered week off every 4th week, but I usually pissed them up against the wall anyway. And my "potenetial" new boss would bump my salary some to partially compensate for the lost of the shift penalties. I dont need the extra money that badly, but its nice
For the record, I'll be wearing my black pinstripe Armani suit, looking sharp!

WELL DONE BABE!!
(and....you know you look hot in anything, stop fishing for compliments! *pinches you*)
Thanx Hayley *hugs* You can pinch me anytime... And thanx to everyone else too
Yup, I got the job, setting up, maintaining and selling the benefits of a midrange batch scheduling application called Control M. I'm capable with OPC/A and have used Control M in a mainframe environment before, but mainframes are on their way out, midrange is the way of the future, and its all new. Beats the shit out of Tivoli Workstation.
Good times ahead.
Dave, my old job is up for grabs, 13 working days a month, A$100+k a year, every 4th week off, 12 hour shifts... all you need is strong mainframe skills (MVS,CICS,DB2,IMS,TSO,SDSF,OPC,OMCS,Connex,etc) and ITIL certification. And lots of Incident Management experience. My current and soon to be former boss said he might look externally, so submit a resume...
