Concern grows for stranded whale, Rescuers are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of a seven-tonne whale, stranded in the River Thames in central London.
There was a beached whale somewhere one time, I think it might have been here in Ozzieland, it'd been dead for a while, and they couldnt just roll it into the ocean, so some genius decided to blow it up. Apparently the mess and stink post explosion were phenominal. They couldnt just bury it, coz the blubber would keep coming to the surface...
If anyone remembers this, lemme know, coz the details are sketchy in my head.
Mosh, I remember that. Seems like it was in Australia? it has been a while and I don't remember many details either, but the blowing up was a disaster!
Thrash wrote "Fuck PETA". I agree. Bunch of extremest loonies.
We say PETA stands for "People Eating Tasty Animals".
I was almost sure that the exploading whale was actually something that took place on the coast of Orgeon in the US...
Like.. some idiots got togather and decided the best way to move a whale corpse.. was blow it up.. (After the highway patrole and the state park service had a lengthy argument over who it was who had to clean it up.)
Then of course using TNT on a whale corpse had the enexpected (because they were stupid) effect of raining huge chunks o' whale one crushing the hood of a car as far away as 200 meters...
Unless I'm rememberin wrong.. but I'm pretty sure that's how I remember reading about it.
