Why yes, I DO believe this could be the fakest intervention ever! From the first 5 minutes of the show, this seemed like the least authentic intervention I have ever seen. I mean come on, the drain pipe? Even the subtitles that normally seem relevant and genuine, were contrived. Like every word from every "character" on this episode-contrived. The characters may not be "actors" per say, but it sure did seem scripted. I would like to express my extreme disgust with the people who participated in this episode as well as the producers who produced this episode (if in fact this episode was fake). There are real people in the world who have had to deal with addicts in their lives and your silly and overly acted portrayal of this extremely difficult situation cheapens the real emotions that are involved in these types of situations.
Even if this episode was not scripted or fake, shame on the producers and A&E for airing something that FEELS as fake as this.
A couple of weeks ago, when speaking to a relative (one who participated in an intervention with me for a family member) I mentioned the show, Intervention. She told me to be cautious about believing what I saw on this show, as tv shows tend to be all about getting ratings. Well producers, while your show may have gotten good ratings in the past, it now feels so insincere I imagine you will lose viewers, as you have lost me!

i have to agree with the original poster..... this intervention was nothing but a publicity stunt, and a poor one at that. The band was pathetic, the obviously sucked and the parents thought they were competing with the rolling stones.. i mean come on ,, a 1,400 seat concert, give me a break, that looked like a drunk kareokee night. that was pathetic. tim saying, lets be young and live, lets go run around a be stupid. that show was a discrace to true addicts. cause true addicts do not act that way... you have to give them credit,, trying to promote their band and an intervention tv show, cause they could not get any other publicity. it reminded me of some stupid dysfunctional family in tweeker ville. parents were complete morons and maddy acts retarded all the time... all the way up to the point were tim lifts her up in the theme park and you can see her butt hanging out of her skirt along with her torn panties. the whole stunt was sickning to real people who really need this intervention.... if there is a true addict, tim, I would sue a&E for portraying your guys as a bunch of gold digging, high school drop outs with parents who want to live off there daughters imaginary income.. not everyone can be good at making music, tim sound like he has way more to offer than maddies crappy bellowing voice. I mean she is only singing and starving herself cause she thinks sex sells through her music. remember just because you look sweet and innocent does not mean you are going to make billboard hits. cause she really has not talent.. just a pipe dream, seriously. she may have kareokeed once or twice, but tim is carrying the weight of that so called band, he should just cut maddy out of it and maybe make some real money. I bet maddies parents would sell there daughter out at these concerts just to make a few dollars.... the parents were some old, burnt out druggies who came up with this bright idea to make a band documentary with a twist of an intervention.... this whole show looked like a documentary of an unsuccessful band, not a true crack addict.

I am so pissed at maddy and her family and A&E for showing this pathetic intervention.. this was so staged and such a publicity stunt, it is such a discrace to real addicts, they portray this fake addiction and do some poor acting about how they think addiction happens... such a discrace to real suffering addicts out there. The show wants you to believe this garbage and they just messed up on this intervention... yes alot of the other ones are staged and look crappy, but this one takes the cake for obvious reasons....

mom says i bet they would have a record deal if tim wasn't an addict. ya right, blame everything on tim.... guess what, your little sweet innocent girl, sucks at singing, she should be a side show freak and not a singer... she sucks, it is her own fault... if she was soooooo good , she would have a record deal by herself. record deals don't have to be for the so called band, and im sure intervention did not help the band at all. I hope it ruined the band, so this greedy family can get what they deserve. maddy needs to grow up and realize she is not a rock star, nor a hollywood model, and she never will be nothing, except a mistress at best. all she is good for with her talent, is low level prostitution, she can be nothing more with her god given talent. all she is , is cute and innocent, nothing more, not a rock star, not a young caring girlfriend who is addicted to a crack addict..... That whole family needs to be slapped in the face with reality and this is how it is..... you cannot take a serious issue and mix it with a business opportunity.... why couldn't they just leave thier band out of the whole show, it would have looked much better then......

I hope everyone can read this and realize what you were seeing is nothing more than an illusion... i would love to here maddy get on here and explain everything i just threw at her, cause she doesnt have nothing to say except.. what you say was not me, i am a great person, i am not money hungry, my parents are good people, tim and i are in love, but she can not refute all of the evidence i have presented, it is just not possible to come up with all of the crap i seen on tv. im sure she helped edit intervention to help her out the most and not tim..... this was supposed to be about tim and his addiction, not maddy and her band..;.....
