... have you ever wondered if you are picking up radio station transmissions through the fillings in your teeth? Ever had that odd song just pop into your head from nowhere, especially when it's a song you don't know, but all of a sudden your singing it? As I was reading some shtuff here all of a sudden I started singing Skid Row's '18 and Life' outta no where. WTF.
Not many fillings use metal anymore. So I doubt they can pick up radio signals. However, both FM and AM radio waves can easily travel through the skull. Do you have any metal in there? A plate? An old slug from a failed assasination?
The way the brain is organized, smell and memory are right up next to each other. It's pretty likely that the song was released by your brain's recognition of something present the last time you we listening to skid row.

I haven't had a filling done since 1988....
