I got off work at 8:00pm, went out for some excellent sushi, came home, got blown, and then laid, and laid proper.

Now I'm just chillin' with a Heineken, skinning up a spliff, and chatting shit to you fuckers.

Sometimes life is good and it's worth acknowledging. That is all.

I ran 10km in a fun-run yesterday, went out and had Tenpura, won $100 at pachinko and fell asleep beofre my wife got home.

After reading your post about sushi, I'm going to have some of that tonight, and my sushi will be better than your sushi.

I've heard that sushi in America is better than in Japan, where the tradition of it inhibits a chef's creativity.

I played bike polo for 7 hours yesterday in a tournament. Chicago had their best finish ever-2nd place. I can barely walk this morning. No sex. Sorry.

Oh yeah, and it's nice to "see" you Si. Edited Mon Mar 17 2008, 12:13pm

Likewise, Lucky.

And as good as the sushi I had last night was, it doesn't compare to the stuff we had in Vancouver. So I don't doubt actual Japanese sushi could well be way better.

Regardless, it was a tasty meal.

Lucky, but you see the creativity is the flaw. Sushi is the best fish, on the best rice, cut with the best knife. That is all.

I remember going to a Sushi bar in Philadelphia and talking with a Japanese guy who had been there for years. He described the brightly coloured rolls as garbage while slipping me free pieces of fresh Toro the whole night.

I generally find the rolls kinda boring these days, and needlessly filling. My ideal sushi is plain ol' sashimi, but with truly excellent fish.
