...I'm going to drive the Pan American Highway from Prudhoe Bay to Buenos Aires, once I get over my irrational discomfort of driving on the right hand side of the road.
Nope. Nothing more than 1 lane each direction, hence why it scares me.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that eventually when I am in a situation where I need to do some highway driving, I'll be fine. It's just one of those things that's gotten built up in my head because I've never done it.
When you start do simple interstate traffic. It's two lanes each way and most of the time they have a fairly large grassy median between them. Don't even TRY Miami or any place large like that. 8 lanes one way and they all have different turn offs and such. That shit scares me to death.
I drove from Minneaoplis to Rapid City in 1992, 99.9% of it was Interstate, and was simple. My brother handled all the fiddly in town driving.
I drove the M11-M25-M1 in England last year, and that was some of the most insane driving I've ever been in. Thing was it was all on the side of the road I'm used to, so it was fun.
I think you should work on larger issues first, mosh. Like making your toilets flush The American Way and putting Summer and Winter where they fucking belong. In the Summer and in the Winter.
After you solve these crises, work on your driving.
Christmas in summer is the best! None of that miserable winter weather to bring down that joyous religious holiday. And your toilets allow turds to float far too close the buttocks for my liking. Next you'll be telling me that I should fix Australian English and organise our money to made of paper again.
And Dave, I only fuck sheep, roo's are far too diseased for me.
