So I've decided to go the winter without heating and I find it's surprisingly easy to do. This only works, of course, because I'm living alone and can therefor act like I'm homeless. I use layers to keep warm, and I sleep in layers. Apart from that I've got a comforter, whatever heat penetrates up from my neighbors below, and an ever-dwindling, ever-replaced bottle of bourbon. I've never seen it below 40 (true that's my thermostat's limit, but my water's never frozen so it's only +/- 8 degrees) and I say heat is for pussies. By god my children will hear of this when I have any: "You think this is cold? Well when I was in college..." Yeah that's right - I'm already planning to be unreasonable to my kids and I don't even have any.
So for all those living South of 40 degrees North latitude, hush your whining when you think its cold. For some of us coldness is a way of life.
I thought krsna lived in Boston like Katie. But then again, I thought the two were an item when I first joined L-G, so that may be what's affecting me. Yeah we should at some point. I'm unfortunately hellishly busy most of the time, but I have a few breaks here and there.
